Presented by the Association of Irish &#038; Celtic Festivals, with support from the Embassy and Consulates of Ireland in the U.S., the concert will be co-hosted by noted artists <strong>Eileen Ivers<\/strong> and <strong>Joanie Madden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSt. Brigid was a light in the darkest of times, a peacemaker, a woman who provided sustenance and a safe haven for all,\u201d\u201d notes Ivers, a Grammy Award-winning Irish American fiddler.  \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to be joining other female artists as part of a livestream concert honoring this beloved Irish saint. May the perpetual flame that St. Brigid ignited so long ago, which still burns in Kildare Town\u2019s Market Square today, live in our hearts and shine through the gift of music and community.\u201d The livestream concert can be viewed on The Association of Irish &#038; Celtic Festivals\u2019 Facebook page.<\/p>\n<p>Along with Ivers and Madden, a flutist and tin whistle player who has been at the helm of the New York-based all-female Irish music ensemble Cherish the Ladies since its inception in 1985, the following artists will be showcasing their musical talents:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Bowtides<\/strong> (a trio of fiddlers who spent 14 cumulative years \u2013 never at the same time \u2013 in Gaelic Storm), <strong>Ashley Davis<\/strong> (an eclectic American singer-songwriter), Goitse (a multi-award-winning traditional Irish ensemble), <strong>Dani Larkin<\/strong> (a singer-songwriter and folk musician from the Armagh-Monaghan border whose music is inspired by the folktales she was raised with, intertwined with elements of traditional melodies and rhythms from around the world in a timeless tradition), <strong>Susan O\u2019Neill<\/strong> (SON, an enigmatic singer-songwriter who fuses traditional Irish folk with rock, soul, gospel and blues), <strong>Cathie Ryan<\/strong> (an award-winning Irish-American vocalist and songwriter who was the original lead singer with Cherish the Ladies), <strong>Clare Sands<\/strong> (a versatile Cork-born fiddler, multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer-songwriter with deep family roots in Northern Ireland and County Wexford, whose sound is rooted in Irish traditional music), and <strong>Aoife Scott<\/strong> (a Dublin-based folksinger-songwriter who is part of the legendary Black Family).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/acousticmusicscene.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/St.-Brigids-Day-Concert-2022-300x157.jpg\" alt=\"St. Brigid&#039;s Day Concert 2022\" width=\"300\" height=\"157\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-11913\" srcset=\"https:\/\/acousticmusicscene.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/St.-Brigids-Day-Concert-2022-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/acousticmusicscene.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/St.-Brigids-Day-Concert-2022-768x402.jpg 768w, https:\/\/acousticmusicscene.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/St.-Brigids-Day-Concert-2022-1024x536.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/acousticmusicscene.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/St.-Brigids-Day-Concert-2022.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The <strong>Association of Irish &#038; Celtic Festivals (AICF)<\/strong> is a collective of more than 170 festivals throughout The United States and Canada that aims to bring the Irish culture \u2013 via music, education, food and dance \u2013 to those not in Ireland in the hopes that those traditions are never lost.
