So say charts compiled by Folk Alliance International based on radio playlists submitted to FOLKDJ-L, an electronic discussion group for DJs and others interested in folk-based music on the radio.<\/p>\n<p>Gilkyson, who was also the most played artist and had the top album on folk radio in June, is a widely acclaimed Taos, New Mexico-based folk, Americana and roots country singer-songwriter. She is a member of the Austin Music Hall of Fame and the Austin Songwriter Hall of Fame and was named Songwriter of the Year (2014) and honored for \u201cSong of the Year\u201d (2021) during the International Folk Music Awards presented by Folk Alliance International. Although he writes songs in many different styles, Bob Amos is best known in bluegrass circles for having formerly fronted the band Front Range for 15 years and having songs recorded by other major acts in the genre.
